Well done to the B Grade Interclub Pennant Team on a great win in the district final last Sunday at Coolangatta-Tweed. The team skippered by Tony Last crushed their opposition 5 games to 1. Well done to all as it was a team effort through the season.

Hansen Wins At Parkwood

Our 3rd Year Trainee Professional Michael Hansen won the Parkwood Trainee Pro Am in fine style with a 3 under par 69 last monday.

I have just got back from the On Course Golf Shops Convention at Palm Cove. Great 2 days spent with our top suppliers learning much about trends. Got to spend plenty of time with the best retailers and coaches so over the next few months there will be plenty of exciting things being rolled out by On Course and our suppliers.

Did you know that in the 30's a little known man by the name of Adolf Dassler made shoes for the great Negro runner, Jesse Owens, which were the first spikes shoes. He later founded Adidas when he and his brother had a dispute at work and his brother left and founded Puma.

Lucky Dassler got away from Hitler or we would be without the world's No.1 sports brand.
