The Pro Shop at Surfers Paradise Golf Club is apart of the OnCourse Golf Shops group which draws over 100 PGA golf shops together to create massive buying marketing power.  Head Professional Paul Orchard believes in giving golfers the best quality and service with brands such as Callaway, Hogan, Cobra, Titleist, Srixon, Wilson and Taylormade dominating floor stock.

Surfers Paradise Pro Shop also boasts the coast best range of ladies clothing.  The shop is open 6am to 6pm 7 days per week.

Paul Orchard

Paul has been Head Professional at Surfers Paradise Golf Club since May 2005 and loves the club.

Paul grew up on the coast playing out of Coolangatta- Tweed club where he did his traineeship in the early 80’s.  He then spent 6 years on tour and played in 2 Palm Meadows Cups and The Ultimate event in 1988 at Santuary Cove.  A short stint at Windaroo was followed by 15 years at Gympie Golf Club where he won the Noosa Celebrity Pro-am and Australian 4ball Championship. Paul has ten Professional tournament wins to his credit.

Adam Northey

Age: 22

Adam is starting his 2^nd year of his Traineeship this year and has worked at Surfers Paradise Golf Club for 5 years. He started playing golf at the age of 14 in Emerald.

Traineeship Highlights:

·         1^st 2010 Nudgee Junior Pro-am3

·         1^st 2010 Glades Pro-am

·         R/up 2010 Indoroopilly Trainee Match

·         Finished top 20 in 2010 national rankings.

Amateur Highlights:

Mark Poelstra

Just started the 3rd year of his traineeship after completing the 1^st year at Darwin Golf Club and the 2^nd year at Riverlakes Golf Club in Brisbane. 

Mark first started playing golf at the age of 15 in Darwin after having a hit with his father Theo who is now a member of Surfers Paradise.

After having 6 years away from the game Mark decided to rejoin Darwin Golf Club while up there for work.  After a short time back playing Mark was lucky enough to be offered a PGA Traineeship at the ripe old age of 39.

Mark’s other interest is playing a slow game of touch football.
